We’re a family owned and operated private airport open to the public. Located just 3.5 miles southwest of KNYL, Somerton Airport (54AZ) offers a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of the main airport. Getting here:
BY CAR
Head south out of Yuma on Avenue B (Hwy 95). You’ll see hangars on the right side of the road just after the bend. That’s us! If you’re visiting for the first time, be sure to swing by the office and introduce yourself.
BY AIR
Be sure to grab the KNYL ATIS on the way in (118.8), then either talk to tower to transition across the Class D airspace, or circumnavigate the delta and enter the traffic pattern from the southwest. We fly left traffic here at 54AZ, and you’ll notice our pattern altitude of 500’MSL (300′ AGL) allows us to under-fly KNYL airspace.
